What happens next
What happens after you call
No pressure, no sales pitch. Here is exactly what to expect.
| Step | When | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| 1. The call | Today | You tell us what you hear and where. We tell you what it likely is. |
| 2. Scheduling | On the call | We set an inspection time and text you before we arrive. |
| 3. Inspection | First visit | Roofline to crawl space. Every entry point numbered and photographed. |
| 4. Written price | Before any work | Scope, materials and total in writing. You decide. |
| 5. Sealing and trapping | Often the same visit | Entry points sealed with metal, traps set inside. |
| 6. The week test | One to three weeks | A full quiet week, then the job is closed with your report. |
The more you can tell us on the call, the more useful the call is. A short note on when you hear it and where often tells us the species before we arrive.
Do not clean up droppings before the inspection. They help us find the problem.

Do not wait on these
When to call right away
Most rodent problems can wait a day. These four should not.
Chewed wiring
Gnawed wires in the attic, walls or crawl space are a fire risk. Turn off that circuit if you can and call.
Droppings near food or a crib
Keep kids and pets away, do not sweep it dry, and call before cleaning anything up.
A dead-animal smell
Usually a rodent that died in a wall or ceiling. The sooner it is found, the sooner the smell is gone. How we find it.
Rodents in the living space
Seeing rats or mice in the open, especially in daylight, usually means a large population behind the walls.
Renting? In Mississippi, the duty to keep a rental fit to live in sits with the landlord, and it starts with written notice. Text or email your landlord with photos, keep a copy, then call us or have them call us.
Straight answers
Questions before you call
Do I need to be home for the inspection?
Yes for the first visit, so we can walk through what we find and answer questions. Follow-up trap checks can often be done with a key or code, and we text when we arrive and when we finish.
Can you give me a price over the phone?
We can give you the 2026 benchmark ranges and a rough idea based on what you describe. The real price comes after the inspection, in writing, because the number of entry points decides most of the cost.
Is there a charge for the inspection?
We will tell you on the call. Whatever the answer, the inspection ends with a numbered entry-point list, photos and a written price, so you know exactly what you would be paying for.
Can you come the same day?
Sometimes, depending on the schedule. Call and we will give you the earliest real time, not a promise we cannot keep.
I rent. Should I call you or my landlord?
Start with written notice to your landlord, since Mississippi puts infestations the tenant did not cause on the owner. Then either of you can call us to schedule.
What if it turns out to be squirrels or a raccoon?
We will tell you straight. Rats and mice are our work. If it is wildlife we are not set up to handle, we will tell you who to call.
